Deposit & Refund Policy

This policy explains how booking deposits, cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are handled for Master Male Massage Cape Town. By paying a deposit or making a booking, you agree to this policy in addition to the Booking Terms & Conditions.

Hotel & international clients: Building security, concierge procedures, and guest policies may affect entry and timing. If access is denied or significantly delayed due to third-party policies, this may be treated as a late cancellation/no-show (see Section 5), unless the therapist is at fault.
1. What a deposit is for
  • A deposit reserves a specific date and time and helps reduce no-shows.
  • Deposits also cover preparation time and (where applicable) travel planning for mobile sessions.
  • Unless otherwise stated in writing, deposits are applied as a credit toward your session fee.
2. Deposit amount
  • Deposit amounts may differ depending on service type, session length, time of day, and whether the booking is in-studio or mobile/outcall.
  • If a payment link allows the client to choose an amount, a minimum recommended deposit may still apply for peak hours, travel, or VIP bookings.
  • Any additional travel/outcall fees (if applicable) will be confirmed before the session.
Tip: To secure peak-hour or hotel bookings quickly, a higher deposit may be required.
3. How the deposit is applied
  • Your deposit is deducted from the total session fee.
  • The remaining balance is payable at the session unless agreed otherwise in advance.
  • If you change the service/duration after paying a deposit, the deposit remains as credit and the balance adjusts accordingly.
4. Payment processing
  • Online payments are processed via third-party providers (e.g., iKhokha). We do not store card or banking details.
  • Any bank charges, currency conversion fees, or international transaction fees are charged by your bank/payment provider and are outside our control.
  • If you require a payment reference, please include your name and booking date when confirming on WhatsApp.
5. Refunds: general rule

Deposits are generally non-refundable because the appointment time is reserved specifically for you and may not be rebooked at short notice. Refunds are only considered in the limited situations set out in Section 7 (Therapist cancellations).

6. Cancellations, rescheduling & no-shows

The table below summarises typical outcomes. “Reasonable notice” depends on availability and scheduling; earlier notice gives the best chance of carrying the deposit forward.

Access responsibility: For hotel/Airbnb/private residence bookings, the client is responsible for ensuring entry/access at the scheduled time.
7. Therapist cancellations
  • If the therapist is unable to attend due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, you may choose to:
  • (a) Reschedule to the next available slot, or
  • (b) Request a full refund of the deposit paid.
  • Refunds, where approved, are processed back to the original payment method where possible and may take time depending on your bank/payment provider.
8. Disputes & chargebacks
  • If you have a concern about a payment or booking, please contact us first so we can resolve it professionally.
  • Unjustified chargebacks may result in future bookings being declined.
  • Where a dispute arises, we may rely on written confirmation, message logs (WhatsApp), and third-party access records (e.g., hotel concierge) to verify attendance/access issues.
Consumer rights: Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
